Overview

Cortico Online Booking enables patients to schedule appointments directly from a clinic’s website or booking link, with availability synced in real time from the Accuro schedule. Patients can view provider availability, select an appointment type, and book without calling the clinic.

Once booked, appointments are automatically created in the Accuro scheduler with the correct provider, type, and time. Clinics can customize booking rules, appointment types, and workflows to match their operational needs.

Online booking reduces front-desk workload, improves access for patients, and helps clinics modernize their booking experience with minimal setup.

Note: This capability is part of the Cortico Clinic Tool Suite, which includes online booking, reminders, messaging, and video visits.

How it works:

Accuro sends provider schedules and appointment availability to Cortico.
Patients access the clinic’s online booking page from their phone, tablet, or desktop.
Patients select an appointment type and choose a time that matches available slots, as well as other intake questions the clinic may require.
Cortico books the appointment and writes it directly into Accuro.
Patients receive confirmation (SMS/email) and any pre-visit instructions.
Appointment reminders are sent automatically (via the Cortico Reminder capability).

Cortico also offers concierge support to help clinics configure booking based on their needs.

Patient confirmations and reminders: Patients can receive email and SMS confirmations and reminders, with reminders managed through the Cortico tool suite.

Automatic appointment creation: Appointments booked through Cortico are created in Accuro.

Clinic branding and configuration: Clinics can apply branding and customize settings to support their booking workflow.

Patient identity checks: Optional PHN verification or two-factor identity checks may be available. Confirm final availability and setup requirements with Cortico before publishing.

Mobile-friendly booking: Patients can book appointments from a phone, tablet, or computer using a modern browser.

Data residency

Cortico data for Canadian clinics is hosted in secure Canadian data centers and remains within Canada.

Data usage

Form data is used solely to collect clinical and administrative information for the patient’s appointment. Data is not shared externally except as required to deliver the service. Retention of data in the EMR depends on EMR policies. Cortico generally only stores PHI in the EMR, but when it must, it retains data indefinitely to preserve the clinic’s records, until an event triggers redaction (clinic offboarding, patient request, etc.)
